Thomas Pestock (born September 13, 1984) is an American professional person wrestler and former professional football game player. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the SmackDown brand nether the ring proper noun Happy Corbin.

Pestock is a former offensive lineman for the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL), besides as a three-fourth dimension Golden Gloves champion and former grappling champion.[iv] Pestock signed with WWE in 2012 and was assigned to their developmental make NXT as Baron Corbin. On the Dec twenty episode of SmackDown, Corbin confronted Dolph Ziggler, who had just earned a title lucifer confronting WWE Champion AJ Styles. Corbin unsuccessfully challenged Ambrose for the Intercontinental Title at the WrestleMania 33 pre-bear witness[75] but defeated Ambrose in a non-title Street Fight on SmackDown.[76] On the April 17 episode, Corbin failed to win a title opportunity for the United States Championship in a triple threat match against AJ Styles and Sami Zayn.[77] Later on the evidence, Corbin attacked Zayn and too shoved an official, for which he was suspended and fined by SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon.[78] At Backfire, Corbin was defeated by Zayn.[79]

Mr. Money in the Bank and Us Champion (2017–2018) [edit]

At Regal Rumble on January 28, 2018, Corbin competed in the Regal Rumble match, entering at number 4, until he was eliminated by Finn Bálor. On the February 13 episode of SmackDown, Corbin earned a spot in Six-Pack Claiming for the WWE Championship match past defeating Kevin Owens, who had previously attacked him. Triple H said that if he could defeat Kurt Angle, he could become the Raw General Manager. Rex Corbin (2019–2021) [edit]

In May, he began feuding with Shinsuke Nakamura as the ii traded victories over each other. On the June 18 episode of SmackDown, Corbin lost to Nakamura in a Battle for the Crown match, thus losing his crown to Nakamura and ending his King gimmick.[139] The post-obit calendar week on SmackDown, his ring name was reverted to Baron Corbin.[140]

On the July 16 episode of SmackDown, Corbin began sporting dingy clothes, an unkempt beard and an unshaved head, giving him a dishevelled look. Happy Corbin (2021–present) [edit]

On the August 27 episode of SmackDown, after turning his misfortunes around in Las Vegas, he drove into the arena in a Bentley, declaring himself "filthy rich" and demanding to be called "Happy Corbin".[146] On the September 24 episode of SmackDown, Corbin debuted his new talk show "Happy Talk". Corbin also soon gained a new ally in Madcap Moss. Corbin and Moss got into a feud with Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs over the Intercontinental Championship. Corbin defeated Nakamura in a Championship Contenders match,[147] and both Corbin and Moss defeated Nakamura and Boogs in a Trick or Street Fight,[148] but Corbin never received an Intercontinental Championship match.

They side by side entered a feud with Drew McIntyre later on, on Happy Talk, they mocked McIntyre for not being in the #1 Contender Battle Majestic match for the Universal Championship. Corbin accompanied Moss to his matches with McIntyre at WWE Twenty-four hour period 1 and Elimination Chamber, with Moss losing both matches.[149] [150] Corbin and Moss participated in the Regal Rumble friction match at the namesake event but they were both eliminated by Drew McIntyre, continuing their feud. Happy Corbin was and so set to face McIntyre on the kickoff night of WrestleMania 38. [151]

At Wrestlemania 38, the streak that Corbin possessed - no one having kicked out of his patented "End of Days" finisher - was shattered as Drew McIntyre kicked out of information technology during their friction match on Night ane. Pestock married Rochelle Roman in 2017.[153] They reside in Tampa, Florida,[154] and take two daughters.[155]

As a tribute to his father, who died in 2008 from Creutzfeldt–Jakob affliction, Pestock wears his father's wedding ring on a necklace.[156] His numerous tattoos include portraits of his father and granddad on his leg, too as tattoos memorializing his friends Ryan Dunn and Zachary Hartwell, members of the Jackass crew who died in a motorcar crash in June 2011.[157]

After shaving his head in June 2018, he donated his ponytail to clemency.[160]

Pestock is good friends with heavy metal singer Tommy Vext. Vext sang Pestock's theme song "I Bring the Darkness" from 2017 until 2021.[161]

Pestock is practiced friends with Pat McAfee. He and McAfee were teammates at the Indianapolis Colts and lived together during their rookie twelvemonth. They bonded over their love for wrestling.[162]
